When I think of Spring, light delicate pastel shades are instantly what come to mind and this was exactly what this wedding at the RAC Epsom in Surrey was full to bursting with.
For the bridal party flowers, simply yet stylish bouquets of gypsophelia (often known as baby’s breath) for each of the bridesmaids and a full crisp white hand tied of hydrangeas for the bride. A mixed bouquet of flowers is stunning but equally any blooms on mass is incredibly effective. The white colour palette would also work well and stand out beautifully against any colour bridesmaid dress. Gypsophelia bouquets are lovely for bridesmaids and particularly flower girls to hold as they are very lightweight.
A flower crown is a beautiful alternative to a bouquet or the perfect accessory for laid back boho hair style. The veil sits just perfectly at the back of the crown and with the all white bouquet, dress and of course beautiful bride, looks simply stunning.
Each table had a different centrepiece all with pastel flowers in shades of pink, nude, peach, lilac, white and green. A rustic garden style with the addition of garden herbs such as rosemary for scent. Scent is such an important factor to consider and beautiful scented blooms and foliage will really add to the atmosphere of a wedding. We used lisianthus, scabiosas, roses, spray roses, sweet peas and gypsophelia.
The enamel jugs and tin buckets were stood on little towers of books immaculately wrapped in brown paper and parcel string or on wooden log slices. They were lovely little touches that complimented the flowers beautifully.
The top table was a vintage wooden booked filled to the brim in a wild and natural style and then flanked with hessian wrapped jars of pretty pastel blooms. Flowers were even incorporated into their table plan design, little tin buckets mirroring the centrepieces that were hung on a wooden crate with cute little luggage tags.
Attention to detail. All aspects of this wedding were considered and had continuity. From the mother of the brides lovely lilac outfit and pretty corsage to the peach rose bridesmaid and flower girl accessories.
Thank you so much to the lovely bride Laura for sharing these images of her special day and to Laura Ellen Photography for the beautiful photos.
